Roses & Jelly Cookies (uplifting)

Sometimes the cold weather, dark skies and the thought of being around ALL your relatives can be stressful; to say the least!

So I'm writing this post to give you some idea's for those hard times. Hopefully some of these can turn someones day around! :)

First of all... BUY YOURSELF FLOWERS!
This is one of the best things I've done for myself. I don't know why I used to wait for a guy to give me roses, when it was super easy to buy them myself!

 I got 12 roses literally as I was just shopping at the grocery store. I first put them in a vase in my bathroom. It's amazing how happy I felt to look at them everyday. After a few days I took out about 3 of them and filled a small bowl with their petals.

Take the petals and put them into your bubble bath; it looks so pretty and is very relaxing.



I also made myself some lavender bath salts to put in the bath. Lavender is VERY calming.
So light some candles and soak in it!

Another fun thing you can do that will definitely boost your mood... make cookies!

I got a box mix at the store for jelly, fingerprint sugar cookies. They were SO EASY.
All I needed was the box and some butter.

I took the mix and put it into a clean bowl with about a half cup of butter. Mixed it with a mixer until it had a dough-like consistency.

Then all you do is make a small ball and press your thumb onto it as you put it on a tray. I also sprinkled sugar over the top of them. The thumbprint makes a PERFECT spot to put jelly.
SO SO SO SO GOOD.
I made them about bite-sized, so they went really fast!
