Bottom Drawer Products

We all usually have that bottom drawer we shove not so good products in, right.

I don't think I've ever really done a post about products not really worth the hype, but I figure I should start sharing.

**First we have the "High Definition Powder" by:  ELF:
This product I was quite excited for so I could start "baking" my face with loose-powder more. Though I knew ELF is hit-and-miss, I figured it was worth a try.
The first time I used this powder I loved how velvet/light it felt on my skin. It was almost fun to put on. But IT TURNED MY FOUNDATION ORANGE!! :(So then my happy thoughts about it were not so happy. As most of us know that have been there.

I couldn't use it for my face, but I couldn't just throw it out. So I still currently use it for a list of things that it is PERFECT for. When my hair is oily I put this on a powder-brush and apply it in my hair to collect it. I also use it to set fantasy-makeup paint, lipstick.

* "Duet Blendable Brights" NYC
(Bowling Green 812)
I guess I wasn't expecting much from this quality of drugstore makeup, but I thought it'd be a little better than this.

I don't like this product for the simple reason shown in this picture (second and third swatch). This colors are not very pigmented to say the least! The swatch is the bare color with no added primer. So perhaps they'd do a little better with one. But either way they're just WAY too chalky to reach the type of eye-look I want. It had to GO.

Lipstick by: Colormates:
This is just a bad product all around. The pigment is great. BUT... I can't stand the smell! It smelt so bad when I was applying it that I was tempted to not even finish and just take it off. It felt like I was using a crayon. And it wasn't very matte at all. It was shiny and weird to wear. Easily clumped up and easy smeared; yet stained my arm after this picture :( Swatch on very bottom.
$11

*"Lemon Aid" by: Benefit:  (Eye-shadow Primer / Base)
This is the top swatch in the picture and actually this stuff is pretty awesome. It's easy to bring around and you can just apply it with finger. It does good hiding my veins on my lids and any redness I'm having. But guys it DOES NOT smell like lemonade AT ALL! It almost even has a bad smell to it. Which really got my discouraged about it.
$20

BTW: There's always a chance I could've got a faulty-product and the ones others try could have a totally different review. Keep an open mind.

:)
