1. Can girls look pretty without makeup?
A: Absolutely they can. Better than just "pretty makeup" is truly beautiful skin. By washing off makeup at night and cleansing the face regularly pays off. Everything your skin takes in now shows on the surface 10 years or so later. also it's healthy to feel good in your own skin. Even if you're skin isn't acne and scar free. Embrace your imperfections, it's one of the best feelings. I think a simple smile or kind act can make someone look pretty.
2. What makeup can a 14-year-old wear?
A: In my opinion someone this age can really wear whatever they would like to. If they want to put on a cake-face of products that's fine by me. But I would suggest since they are in school and still have young, good skin to wear; Light eye shadow of about one or two neutral colors. A brown mascara that is waterproof for their summer fun and so they're not quite as bold as black lashes.
Light Blush of any color. Just make sure it's very light. Concealer for any blemishes they do have; and Lip gloss so it doesn't need a constant check-up in the mirror and re-application.
**Also if the teen does have heavy acne/blemishes a CC/BB Cream or Medium coverage foundation can be added. As long as they're comfortable and happy.
